Is Skydiving Video Worth It?
Absolutely! This is why a professionally captured and edited video allows you to revisit every moment – from gearing up to the righteous freefall and serene canopy flight over the gorgeous white sandy beaches of Flora-bama.
Not only does it make for an incredible keepsake; it also serves as a testament to your courage and heart for adventure. And let’s be real, a first time skydiving video is the best (and only) way to prove you actually did it!
Are skydiving pictures worth it, too? Definitely! Skydiving pictures freeze those split-second moments – your expression as you exit the plane, the joy during freefall, and the triumph upon landing. They’re perfect for sharing on social media, framing, or simply reminiscing over.
Sure, you can take a screenshot of your video, but with everything moving so quickly it’s almost impossible to capture a non-blurry screenshot. It’s best to opt for a professional and trained skydiving photographer to capture high quality images that seize every pixel of joy. To capture the full experience in its entirety, pairing photos with a video package is the way to go!
How Much Does a Skydiving Video Cost?
At Skydive the Gulf, we offer three video and photo packages:

Receive over 100 high-definition images captured throughout your experience.
- Social Media Video & Photo Gallery – $119
A highlight video tailored specifically for social media, plus all photos from your jump.
- The Ultimate Package – $139
A comprehensive 3 to 5 minute video showcasing interviews, full freefall, parachute footage, a social media highlight video, and up to 100 photos!
Can I Bring My Own Camera for a Skydiving Video?
Sorry to break it to you but, no, you cannot bring your phone, GoPro, or other camera with you to altitude. You can use them on the ground before go-time and after landing, of course, but not on the plane or during your jump.
Skydiving is a highly-regulated sport that is extremely safety conscious. For safety reasons, tandem students are not permitted to bring personal cameras on a jump. The United States Parachute Association (USPA) mandates that only experienced skydivers with specific certifications (at least 200 jumps) can operate cameras during a skydive.
Our professional skydiving videographers are trained to use wrist- and/or helmet-mounted cameras and wide angle lenses to capture your experience safely and effectively. It’s best to let the pros do their thang!
Can Friends or Family Be Included in the Video?
Our aircraft takes two tandem pairs at a time, and while you can ride to altitude together, you are required to jump out one-at-a-time with your assigned instructor. Therefore, your friends and family will not be included in your video.
However, we might be able to arrange some photos and videos of you all together before and after the jump. Just let your videographer know and we will do our best to accommodate your needs!
How Long After the Jump Will I Receive My Video?
We totally understand the anticipation of waiting for your tandem skydiving videos and photos! We take our time editing your content to provide you the best display of your experience. Most of our video and photo packages are electronically delivered to you on the same day as your jump. If you haven’t received them within 48 hours, please give us a ring!

How Do You Look Good in a Skydiving Video?
You’re already doing something incredible – your confidence will shine through! Here are some extra tips to look good in your tandem skydiving video:

You won’t want to worry about a wardrobe malfunction on your skydiving video. Be sure to wear close-fitting, comfortable clothes that will stay put as you take on 120 mph winds during freefall.
- Chin Up
Raising your chin not only helps with your freefall body position, it also looks great for the camera. Nobody wants to look at the top of your head as you experience the most exciting adventure of your life. We want to see your shining face – keep your chin up and eyes on the horizon!
- Express Yourself
Chuck up the deuces, wave, give a thumbs up, and just be yourself! If you’re jumping for a reason or to deliver a message, consider writing it on your hands. This is a unique way to express your cause and inspire others to accomplish their goals, too.
